Today we’re excited to be connecting with Khalia Taylor again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Khalia, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Hello Voyage! Thank you for keeping up with me, I love you guys lol. But anywhooooo – life has been …. exciting. I’ve moved out of Los Angeles, and I am now residing in Boston – my home city. I moved back because the cannabis brand I work with, Rapper Weed – is currently under construction as we have been building our cultivation farm here in Massachusetts. I am still a brand manager, and a wardrobe styling here and there when a friend or very important person needs those services. With my move back to the East Coast, I am currently finding my footing and plotting on my future.

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
With the company I manage, Belle Fleur/Rapper Weed – we actually just passed our inspection for the cultivation site and will be on the verge of officially growing our own cannabis here in Mass very soon. Not to mention this is the first black owned cultivation farm in MASS. It’s been a long time coming but patience is truly a virtue. I am currently trying to keep my portfolio up to date for any creative collaborations or brand managing opportunities as well. I think my resilience has gotten me this far and allowed me to not give up at this point, I truly believe in myself and I know this hard work is going to pay off very soon. IT BETTER. lol. During this time, I’ve relied on my faith. I know that God has a plan for me and as long as I thrive towards it everyday, I will get there.

We also want to give folks a chance to get to know you a bit better so we’ve prepared a fun lightning round of questions. Ready?

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
I think about myself first, no matter the situation. I am also a huge believer in Newtons Third Law – every action has equal or opposition reaction. I am constantly trying to think of the outcomes of certain actions and if I feel I might not know the response or even how it will make me feel, I might not do certain things. I like to learn from other people as well – I take the things they might have experience as a learning lesson. I can be hard headed but not tooo much lol
