Meet Kitwana John | running Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kitwana John and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kitwana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
my entire thought process behind starting my own business was to be able to make a safe space for everyone to be able to stay active and for mental health .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
at the End of the day I do it all. Mostly comes from Me not wanting to wait for someone to do it for me and I don’t relying on what may happen so I end up doing it myself. Learning How to do something new turns into me being pretty good at it long term
I am A personal trainer / group and fitness coach/ running coach
photographer/ t shirt maker/ and Run coach leader
what I have most learner is consistence will go along way if you are passionate about what you do
I started a run club over ten years ago, an idea that became very important in my life and the lives of others
we started running 5k to 10k to half marathons and now some including myself have ran ultra marathons which sounds insane to me to even say
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
first place to go eat in Thai by tai down the street from USC area
if you want mom and pops spot Freds on Vermont good old fashioned burrito or burger and fries
LA is big and very spread out so many spots to go
workout for sure – Culver City stairs
stolll on Venice beach is Always the go to spot when friends and family come to visit – least expensive and great views of the beach – Santa Monica pier as well
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If I were to name names the list would go on and on and on
But the first to come to my head would be Claudia Martinez
she was one of the first person I came to with the idea of starting a run club over 10 years ago
