We had the good fortune of connecting with Kodinedreams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kodinedreams, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from South LA and Long beach California! i Grew up in both city’s and they are my home. In LA, it brought me to a sense of where culture is. Where everyone in LA we know that we aren’t perfect people but we know our loyalty, our heart. We know our support system. And its community. That’s where i get my love and nurturing from. Seeing others on the streets helping others, seeing family friends help and support each other through good times and bad times. Through yin and yang.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is Photography! I love photography and it has been my passion since a child! People always asked me how or what got me into photography and it’s all of the scenery for me. It’s the clearness and the satisfaction of a photo that i can take that will set the mood of the moment. Like looking a paintings in a museum. you’ll ask yourself questions especially if you look into a photo for a while. I want to work with big artists and and other photographers and videographers and I am proud that i can do multiple things like make a song or produce some beats for fun also how to take very beautiful photos which make you feel the picture. Feel beauty. Feel a sense of aura.
I got here today by help of my significant other and their sibling! Their names is 2 Hungry and Ms.Twoface. (really cool people you guys should check them out) Ms two face brought me to a studio named Fromheavensview, That she was working at as a photographer and modeling at and knew i wanted to be a professional photographer! I applied and got in! I’m also apart of the EAT team! EAT means Everything Art Touches and i am the head photographer on the team! The CEO of EAT is Melvin Farmer (2 Hungry). They bought me onto the team since they like how my craft looks and the help that i bring for content!
It was easy to get into where i am today but it takes a lot of patience. A LOT. Nothing but patience, determination and dedication with sticking with your career. Also to never ever forget to be thankful and grateful for the people and opportunities that god and the universe has brought to me!
Lessons i’ve learned is always stick to your word, word is bond,
Communication is always ALWAYS key.
Always remember to charge your camera battery
Always remember to Back up and Empty your SD card
Always make sure your BPM while making music with other artist just in case theirs is different from yours
I want everyone to know my name is Kodinedreams but you can call me kodie or KD and i want foreverhippiess to be a great place to have photoshoots, studio sessions, podcast sessions, and great memories! and i’m going to be the next top photographer!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots to go to is anywhere on shoreline village in Downtown long beach or anywhere in downtown long beach. There’s a lot of bars and restaurants. It’s a japanese pond in Long beach that is very beautiful! Another spot for a picnic or a view is Signal hill! Every sunday towards the evening they play oldies on top and it’s such an amazing vibe! I like to go to thrift stores, dave and busters, and outside markets! In LA i like to visit Down town Los Angeles specifically Korea town because my favorite boba and ice cream shop is there and it’s tons of great places to eat at! Shopping is so much fun there too with different plushies and clothes and people there too. I would take my best friend to all these places!

I want to dedicate My friends who have been by my side supporting me,They have helped me through the most toughest times with being a full time photographerAlso the EAT team who have supported my career in being a photographer and mastering my craft! Keeping each other on top of our game and making our projects come true together is the best feeling ever accomplished! Shout out to the CEO of EAT Entertainment 2 Hungry! He makes sure that his team is working towards their goals, their dreams, making sure their vision comes to life and bringing it to life when They can! I appreciate all my colleagues who i work with that shared their knowledge and experiences with me such as Fromheavensview , Framedbytwoface, Nova studios, The Reverance Project , and many more passionate wonderful photographers/editors that i have met and crossed paths with!
