We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristi Eisenberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristi, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting “Neatly Nested” was an organic blessing that took shape over time. What was once a friend asking me to help organize her pantry, because she had seen mine, turned into multiple friends asking if I could help them with their spaces. One friend tells another friend and so on. Before I could even really make the decision to start a business, a business was already being born. For me, it was the absolute best way for “Neatly Nested” to be set in motion.
What should our readers know about your business?
Neatly Nested was created out of the passion of helping family and friends love the space they live in. Creating systems and function in a space can feel overwhelming and having someone help navigate the process and do the leg work is a gift that will continue to give long after the work is complete. My services include editing, sorting, categorizing, organizing, spatial planning, sourcing products, installation and labeling. Neatly Nested is primarily a one-women doer of all the things and that is a huge appeal to many. Not every client needs or wants an entire team of organizers in their home. And many times one extra set of hands is just what fits the job and comfortability of the client. Inviting a stranger into your home can feel overwhelming, daunting and yes, a little embarrassing for many. My greatest gift to my clients, above the work that I do with my two hands, is from the moment I step foot into your space, I come with no judgement. I am the perfect combination of tough love and compassion. Being organized isn’t always an inherited trait but I fully believe that together we can create something that my clients will be able to maintain for years to come.
Neatly Nested isn’t just helping clients get organized in their existing homes, I also spend much of time helping clients prepare for a relocation or remodel on both the front end and after. Moving is hard and I am here to help you with process from start to finish and anything in between. We start with a personalized purge, purposeful packing/labeling and the oh so dreaded unpack. Having me to help oversee the details and alleviate some of the decisions, leaves room for you to enjoy the process of a new space and look ahead to all the wonderful moments you are going to make in that space.
I am most proud that I have taken a natural gift of being organized and a passion for helping others and turned it into Neatly Nested. My hope is that every client feels pure joy when they enter their pantry, open up their medicine cabinet or enter their new home. There really is something so true about the saying “An organized space is an organized mind is an organized life.” And I like to add…an organized heart. I hope my clients feel that.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
LA has so many amazing spots…some obvious, some hidden treasures. I would say that staying at Calamigos Ranch is a must. It’s a vacation all on its own and feels like you are worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city. But when you are ready for the hustle and bustle, you must visit Dodger Stadium and enjoy a Dodger dog. There is something so iconic about Chavez Ravine even if you don’t bleed blue. And when you are ready to indulge in something a bit fancier than stadium food, you should enjoy sushi at Sugarfish. The list of places to eat and things to do are endless but these are a few of my favorites.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My first Shoutout would definitely go to my husband, Jared. Without his support and encouragment my business would not have been able to get off the ground. His constant love and belief in everything I do makes the hard work well worth it. To the business professionals that I have partnered with and the amazing clients that I have had the pleasure of working with, Thank you. Thank you for inviting me into your spaces and trusting me with such a personal opportunity. And to my two teenage sons, Aidan and Asher, this is all for you!
