Meet Kristi | Registered Nurse Licensed, Property Manager Focused

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristi, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I have always had a drive for success and great organization skills, but being in this industry I have adopted more habits that have helped in the success of Stay Easy. The number one habit that has led to my success would be networking – I have worked hard, for years, to build a network of clients and guests that have aided in providing valuable insight to resources, potential clients, and opportunities. Another habit that is required in this industry is effective communication. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year we, as hosts, have to be ‘present’ whether thats with our clients, guests, or vendors. Without effective communication, Stay Easy wouldn’t be where it is today.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a registered nurse turned property manager. It feels like overnight there was a change in careers, which started out as a family vision to own more properties. One house turned into one client which turned into many more over time. I call it the rubber band ball effect (snowball effect) and the ball continues to roll and obtain more bands along the way. All of this is a direct result of providing the best customer service (to our guests, clients, and vendors) in this industry. Although it felt like overnight success, this has been years of hard work and dedication. There has been many hard days and late nights. All of this has led to extreme growth and insight in this industry, and everyday I feel more knowledgable and more creative in how we plan to grow Stay Easy. Stay Easy is one of the industry leaders in vacation rental management. Our drive for success, for you (client) and me (host) is unparalleled to other companies. Our communication has 100% success rate, and our reviews (over 3,100) speak for themselves. We work hard so that you don’t have to!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Favorite spots in the city… that’s a tough question! Let’s say we are in Huntington Beach, CA — that’s where many of our vacation rentals are located.
We would take a walk around downtown… first to Main Street, stop and grab a slice of pizza at Zero Zero 39 and explore the surf shops. We would walk the Pier and make sure to snap photos of the surfers and enjoy the beautiful ocean breeze. Our next stop would be walking the beach path. We would stop and grab nachos on the boardwalk, the ones with shaved cheese on top, a Huntington Beach unique appetizer. Next would be visiting Pacific City, where we would indulge in a mint mojito at Philz Coffee and explore the shopping (boutiques and big name stores). Pacific City is 2 levels, so we would explore the bottom floor first, enjoy the fire pits, and head upstairs for a sunset viewing at the Brant, where a specialty cocktail and the fried asparagus appetizer is a must. From there we would relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean. Huntington Beach has great restaurants and entertainment, great viewpoints, and great people watching. This would just be one afternoon in the area, where there is so much more to explore!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many individuals along my career path that have contributed to the growth and success of Stay Easy. Whether it is a client referral, a guests positive review, or someone recognizing the company name when out in public. All of these things, and more, have aided in the growth and development of the company, and continues to do so. This growth has led to opportunities we never dreamed of, like being able to represent a clients home on television. I am forever grateful for those that have given positive reinforcement, suggestions, and encouragement along the way to keep us moving forward!
