We had the good fortune of connecting with KS the Wolf and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi KS the Wolf, why did you pursue a creative career?
Just like anyone else, the career somewhat found me. I enjoy being expressive, and find peace when getting creative. At this point I’m just trying to maintain my peace

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Art-wise, I am a rapper/actor, with a deep passion for storytelling. These stories find legs through songs, visuals, or my ongoing private book project that I have been working on for too damn long, at this point.

I’ve found some small success in opportunities spawning from the different creative environments I found myself in. It was amazing to bring both my music and acting loves together, with the collaborative opportunity I had with Champion Apparel in 2023. From then, I imagine I keep getting lucky with this, as other opportunities keep knocking. Was is easy?!? Is it ever? Should it be?…ehh, the challenge keeps it interesting.

Lesson’s I’ve learned: Someone is always going to let you down, someone is always going to surprise you, and you at the end of most projects, shoots, songs-you will usually only be able to look back with eyes that can only see all the things you didn’t do correctly. Tis a gift and a curse, but it comes with the territory.

What should the world know about me? My favorite color is purple. I will die on a hill of burgers and chocolate chip cookies. My music is just meant to be felt, and I say Im an actor, but I never clarified whether I was a good one or not lol.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a lowkey person, so I honestly don’t like to hangout with people, anywhere, except my own spot or a few barcades. So if I’m being honest, I wouldn’t be the one to prep a week long trip for anyone, as I don’t have enough spots i could recommend.

Eatery : Juicy J’s burgers

Drink: Anywhere Tequila is

One of the most interesting places to check out, to me, is Joshua Tree. I love disconnecting from tech.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Andrew Greenbaum deserves some spotlight. He is the co-director on my upcoming short film, “The Problem in My Head.” For the past year 1/2, we have been running around Cali, looking for the best shots to help tell this story. His dedication to this craft is something you don’t find, often, in peers. I’m eternally grateful.
