We had the good fortune of connecting with KURMAN and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi KURMAN, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
I want to be a respectable figure in the music world, who is passionate and relentless about music.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think the most exciting thing about my debut album “MY HOURS IN HER LIFE” is the eclectic styles of music that were implemented into each song. I really wanted to be able to give each track its own personality and genre. It excites me to know the audience can choose multiple favorite songs off of one album. I wanted the variety of songs to open the album to everyone and anyone.

The most valuable thing I learnt through this journey is to treat the people you’re working with extra nice. Make them feel repeated and appreciated would go a long way, not just about them having a good time working with you and wanting to continue, more importantly about being a good person.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I can’t say I would recommend the city I’m in because I’m not from here haha! But San Francisco is my favorite American city, every time visiting was a good time. So if we had a week together, I would suggest a road trip to San Francisco, and enjoy the views along the way, and having a blast just sightseeing in SF!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would dedicate my shoutout to my manager Maria Weyne and my band members Sloan Lee, Andrew Williams, Soren Crisell, Toni Loew and Andy Ocampo. I really couldn’t be on this incredible journey without them, and I am forever thankful for them sticking by my side.
