We had the good fortune of connecting with Lakithia Nicole and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lakithia, what role has risk played in your life or career?
It has played a huge part in my career. For instance picking up and moving across the country to follow your heart and purse your dream. That’s a risk, I’ve taken more than once. I think it’s imperative to follow your spirit. If God leads, Go. Following the small still voice inside. It truly guides. And so I say that to say, listen to your heart and follow the still voice inside. It won’t lead you wrong. It is a risk. The outcome for me has been progression. I’ve obtained success through risk taking. No regrets! Risk taking is apart of the journey sometimes.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am just naturally authentic and unique as a person and talent. And I embrace being authentic. It’s my superpower. I pride myself on authenticity. I got to where I am today, by hard work, dedication, being driven, tenacious & through God. And the will power to never quit and continue doing what I love. It hasn’t been easy. But worth it. I overcame by belief in myself and never doubting Gods plan for my life. You have to believe in yourself and trust the process. I’ve been building my brand since I was a child. The things you see me doing now are the same childhood dreams I’ve had for my whole life. I’ve had many years of preparation. Now preparation is meeting opportunities.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the Americana in Glendale. It’s so fun and nice. I take everyone who comes in town there. We get to hang out, eat dinner, go to the movies and shop all in one place. The Americana. It’s in my neighborhood I’ve been going for more than 12 years now and it’s always been a great experience. The amazing tasty food to the shopping centers from high end boutiques to target. Everything you need in one spot. You’ll love it!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Anyone who believes in my vision and dreams. My family being my biggest support system. I am truly blessed to have so much support from my family! Whatever I need, mental, spiritual and financial support whatever it is, I have that in my family. I also can feel their belief in my dreams as well. My Mom & Dad have always played a big role in my dreams And whenever I achieve something new they’re always so proud of me. I do this for mi familia.
