We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Moll and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to build something for myself that I was proud of, something that made people happy, and allowed me to stay home to raise my kids. I knew it was going to be really hard work, but I also knew that it would pay off. Being my own boss, creating my own schedule, constantly learning and being creative, while also doing something for others that would make them happy and feel special was something that was very important to me.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve grown so much since starting out in this business. I’ve worked incredibly hard to be where I am at, and I’m still working incredibly hard to grow and reach new goals. The key is to never stop learning. Even when you think that you’ve reached the top, there’s still more to reach for. Never settle. Push your limits, allow yourself to practice, learn new things, learn from others, even your own clients. Getting what you want is never easy, and as you learn, you either reach your goals, or you get on a different path that you didn’t expect. Be open minded and open to learning, no matter how long you’ve been in business, and watch your creativity flourish.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband has been my #1 fan since I started my business. He encouraged me every time I felt down or overwhelmed, he consistently supported me with any idea I had or any project I wanted to take on, he always listened and offered honest suggestions and advice when I needed it. He was and has been my biggest supporter, encourager, and friend through the ups and downs of my business. He’s truly helped me to believe in myself, push the limits, persevere and run an honest, successful, and special business.
