We had the good fortune of connecting with Leah Avigdori and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leah, what do you attribute your success to?
I think the most important factor behind my success is believing and having confidence within myself, my abilities and recognizing my uniqueness. There are many estheticians and spas out there and many of them doing their craft very well. I could easily get lost in the constant bombardment of information showing me how amazing this person is and that business is, forgetting my own divinely designed energy that I have been given. It took me a while to tap into it. I think it’s true for all of us, that we all have a very unique “thing” to offer. It’s just up to us to recognize it, focus on it and offer it up to the world to receive. Once we are tapped into our true selves and our unique abilities, it starts to attract the people and business we desire. Staying focused on what I love doing and not on what others are doing, brings in a purposeful business life to me that I am so appreciative for. Confidence, understanding my uniqueness, and staying in my lane are the things I work on daily and are my most important factors to success.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m not sure if I chose the career as an aesthetician or it chose me. All I’ve known since I was young is that I wanted to help people. To nurture people. To make people feel important and loved. Aesthetics is how I channel those aspects of myself. I’ve journeyed through many peaks and valleys and feel that I have finally arrived at a good place in my career while at the same time continuing to expand. I’ve worked in difficult circumstances and in retrospect see how maintaining focus on what I wanted and why I wanted it eventually carved a way out into the place I want to be. I really pay attention to my thoughts and feeling because I believe 100% they create my reality.
My hope is that when people come in for a treatment with me they leave feeling better, happier and glowy-er.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well the first stop on the trip would be a facial with me at Skinworship! Then off to a sound bath on a Malibu Cliffside with Shakti Sound Bath. Hike Temescal Canyon and finish with a sweet treat at Sweet Laurel Bakery in Pacific Palisades Village. Pause Studio for some float therapy. Dinner at Marvin’s. Cheat meal at Felix. Drinks at the Proper hotel. Toy shopping for the kids at Acorn Toy store in Santa Monica. Trip to Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens. Immersive art show at Wisdome DTLA. Take to go food from Erewhon to the beach picnic. The Gentle Barn.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband! Jonathan Avigdori! He is my twin flame, my biggest support and love. He is so wise and when I feel like I’m flailing at times, he always had the right thing to say to bring my perspective back to what matters.
I would also like to thank my amazing co-light workers at Skinworship. These ladies are a force, have believed in me and I love them all dearly.
