Meet Lexi Faith | Artist, Designer, Actor, Writer, Expressive Arts Therapist, Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lexi Faith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lexi, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose a creative career because it is the only thing that makes me feel alive, gives me stability, purpose, clarity, emotional connection, intellectual stimulation, and brings me joy. I believe the arts are the only selfish thing we do that the more selfish we become in our creation, the more generous we truly are.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a multidisciplinary artist, I started my career as a visual and performing artist, acting in off-broadway plays, costuming productions, modeling, commercials, painting, and fashion design. Later on I went to study yoga and meditation in India, which developed into a deeper love for psychology and philosophy, leading me to get my masters degree in expressive arts therapies and becoming a licensed therapist. Throughout my career I built a marketing agency, worked as a creative director for galleries and wellness brands, worked as a curator, and built a successful coaching business. I found that certain aspects of my career have been easy because I have been consistently creative, however by working with differing mediums in differing industries, a lot of the work is your network and getting one big break. Outside of the entertainment industry and the art world, with the realms of social media, you have a lot more control over your success making it harder work yet more fulfilling. I have learned to always listen to my heart, to let go when its time to let go, and not waste another moment (research the sunken cost fallacy), and to listen to what my inner 8 year old is asking me.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh god, in LA?
I have to be honest, I am a native New Yorker, and I am on my way out of here as this chapter has finished. Most of the city where I live burned down… but it depends on what they want to do. Check out Malibu for the beaches, hit up melrose or venice for shopping, or even better, head out to highland park or around atwater for some thrifting. I truly think the most interesting people, if you have to stay in Los Angeles, are probably on the East Side or South Central… go local, but go with a local, people are living their lives at the end of the day, and whats more interesting than real life?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Dr. George, the chiropractor, network spinal analysis doctor, and overall wizard of a coach.
