We had the good fortune of connecting with Lexi Stephens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lexi, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is staying approachable. Wine has a reputation for being and intimidating, unwelcoming industry, and I hope to change that. It’s my goal to share with my audience that wine doesn’t have to be too serious, and you can learn about it while still having fun!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I don’t think owning a business will ever be easy. There are easy days and hard days, but overall, it’s always going to be a challenge and that’s what I love about it. My passion for wine and teaching others about wine is what drove me to start my business and what keeps me going everyday, despite any hurdles. Some lessons I’ve learned so far are to just keep going, don’t overthink it, and stay passionate by taking intentional breaks.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live on the east side of LA, home to the city’s best restaurants 😉 Some of my go-to spots over here are Hippo, Otoño, Wife and the Somm, and Dunsmoor. The Dresden is a classic for pre-dinner drinks too!

If I venture out west, it’s for a lobster roll at Broad Street Oyster Co. followed by a beach day in Malibu.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All of my family and friends for sticking by me when I take a risk.
