We had the good fortune of connecting with Patti Negri and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Patti, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk! Just the word brings up all sorts of thoughts AND emotions! I LOVE risk. I HATE risk. I EMBRACE risk. I AVOID risk… But, it all depends on what kind of risk we are talking about. I do not personally advocate the form of risk that can end in death, illness or loss of the material necessities of life. You wont see me Climbing Mount Everest or Playing Russian Roulette. But I do relish and even seek out the kind of risk that puts me to the test of being my best… of forcing me to give my all — at the risk of falling down, embarrassing myself, momentary failure or ridicule. I guess what I love is the challenge. One way I do that, is my “hobby” is getting chosen to be on near impossible, super high odds TV competition shows. I beat about 70,000+ people to make it on the physically challenging TV Obstacle course WipeOut, then I beat an even higher number to get on Master Chef and an even higher number to make it on America’s Got Talent! No, I’m not a super athlete, definitely not a great cook – and certainly have none of the talents it usually takes to get on AGT – but I AM a REALLY GOOD WITCH! Yes, I made a bit of a fool of myself on these shows… but f I can manifest these near impossible things, I totally believe everyone can manifest the things they want in their life as well. So just keep a really good sense of humor (my number one rule for life) – and enjoy the challenges and “risks” of life and jump in with both feet. If I can do this, YOU certainly can create a life you love as well! This has helped my business, because this IS my business. I am a psychic medium and “good” witch. You may recognize me from television shows like Ghost Adventures on Travel Channel, Flipping Out, Candidly Nicole or dozens of others… or perhaps from my bestselling book OLD WORLD MAGICK FOR THE MODERN WORLD… but what I REALLY do is help people get their power back! In my years of private coaching, teaching and speaking, the one thing I realized is how much we all give our power away. To other people, to belief systems, to fear… and it is SO easy to get it back. Change of perception is the key… and you get and learn some really good “perception” changers from testing yourself, and taking calculated but challenging risks! Go out there and see how amazing you are!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I “see” energy. I literally can see the energy cords between people, thoughts, situations and objects. The way I work is by helping people to fix, change, break or adjust those “cords” to design their life and their future the way they want them to be. My business really developed very organically. I have been practicing natural magick my entire life. My specialty is in adjusting energy and flow – in people, spaces, situations, most anything. I work by creating thought patterns, spells and rituals that arrange natural elements to the rhythms and cycles of the universe to bring about healing, change our lives for the better, and create balance. My working style is magical, loving and upbeat — which creates a positive, safe and fun environment for you to learn, grow and heal. What I want the world to know is that humans are super powerful beings… my job is to help people see their own amazing ability!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite daytime spot is Lake Hollywood. Where else can you commune with the deer, birds and wildlife while working out in the shade of the Hollywood sign just 5 minutes from the bustling heart of the city. My favorite nighttime spot is the amazing and varied restaurants, bars and clubs along the Cahuenga corridor!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out to my mom! Since I was a little girl she told me that “I could do anything in life that I wanted…” and I believed her!
