We had the good fortune of connecting with Lexy Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lexy, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
No one has it figured out! We are all just making mistakes, learning, getting back up and continuing the cycle! It’s a true reminder that we are all teachers and students of life and to remove and pedal stools we may have placed on others!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am self discovery coach who empowers people to be themselves, to create meaningful connections and experience more joy. I love that I get to help people find new perspectives, learn about themselves and show them they can heal within! I am super excited about my new 3 month group coaching program called Radically Connected starting August 18th. We will fearlessly go inward to discover your soul with pure and trusting confidence, do the work with the support of a conscious community, all while allowing your authentic light to shine. My business Alive To Enjoy started in Australia 3 years ago when I was volunteering at a holistic health retreat. My roommate, Daisy, told me that she is a life coach for a living and described what she did, my jaw dropped and I said you get paid to do that? I do that on the daily for free! She said I believe in you, start your business! And so I did. I was terrified, with no education in business and very minimal income. It felt so right in my heart that I knew this was meant for me though. My business has been a slow growth with so many challenges like failed launches, loosing money on events and saying the wrong things. As I went through these challenges I would also seek resources and I learned that no one knows what they are doing. We all are just making mistakes and learning as we go. That took a huge burden off my shoulders. I also learned there are thousands of different ways to run your business and always come back to what works best for you. As a coach helping clients, I have learned how so many of us share similar struggles, traumas, challenges and the importance of reaching out for help. You are the only one that can truly make changes in your life. You have to become radically responsible for your own life! Seeking help was the best thing I ever did and continue to do, the investment in yourself is a gift that continues to keep giving!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I recently moved to Costa Mesa, CA and have been loving being a beach girl! I would take them to corona del mar for a gorgeous beach day and walk around to fantasize about living in one of the mansions there. Another spot I love to walk/ hike around is crystal cove. On Saturday we’d go to the SOCO farmers market for some fresh local goodies. The lab anti-mall which is an artsy, open-aired place with yummy food and cute shops. We would 100% go to side car donuts for the best and freshest donuts!! Some of my favorite restaurants are vegan by el zamorano, gracias madre, cucina alessa, hironori craft ramen, urth caffe, and mothers market grocery story is full of goodies. Wednesday night at Sevilla is salsa night which is always so much fun. We would go to Blackie’s beach to go surfing and relax. If we are feeling like finding some non-ocean water we could go to Lake Mission Viejo and kayak 🙂
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Daisy Moore is the one who influenced me to start my business and has always been such a bright light in my life! Hanna Carroll (bestlifebyhanna) is my bestie and mindset coach and has helped me so much!
