We had the good fortune of connecting with Lilly Lev and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lilly, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m from Russia and I used to be a pop singer. I’ve travelled all over the world with my show. Mostly Europe and China. In 2013 I’ve done 50 show in 3 months. In 15 cities. That led to my passion for acting later, because I came to Los Angeles to perform the show and got an offer role in a movie with Eric Roberts. That’s when I fell in love with acting and decided to move to the US permanently.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I consider myself an action actress, because I’m mostly playing a bad ass girl who is “hot and deadly”. Roles where I can fight and use my sexuality. I love martial arts and I Iove these type of characters! I love drama and comedy as well, but roles where I can show my skills are the most attractive to me. As for challenges, I’m overcoming it every day. The biggest challenge for an actor is satisfaction in her work, which, for me, as a perfectionist , rarely happening. I wanna be better and I wanna grow as an artist every day. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is the importance of learning, studying and growing professionally. I read a lot and I always learn something new about everything.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
At first I would show them what every tourist wants to see in LA, which are Hollywood blvd, Hollywood sign,Santa Monica Pier, The Getty Villa. I would take them to Malibu Beach and also, Manhattan Beach. The other place would be San Diego which has a lot to offer, starting with the most famous natural habitat zoo, water activities and great restaurants.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say it’s my ex husband who was a huge music producer in Russia. He helped me to build a successful music career and brought me to the US.
