We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Frank and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linda, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
“Risk is a very powerful word, and I’ve never really believed that there’s any difference between a “big risk” and a “little risk.” Risk is risk, and there are always consequences to taking risks. I’ve never been afraid to dive right into a project regardless of a negative outcome because my definition of risk is living by faith. When one truly lives by faith, you have peace in knowing that no matter what the outcome, you’ll always land on your feet. so in taking any risk, whether it be in business or my personal life, I know that God will always have my best interest at hand as long as I have faith in God’s will for my life.

I’ve been an Entrepreneur for close to 30 years now and I have literally put everything on the line for my business from day one. I’ve taken out large loans, quit a high paying job to start a business, mortgaged my home, worked 18 hours days for months on end, and sacrificed endless hours of time away from my family, but I wouldn’t change a single thing about the risks I’ve taken because they have molded me into who I am today. Without risk (and lots of prayer), I wouldn’t understand the true meaning of patience and perseverance and what it means to earn my success based on merit and hard work. Without risk and trusting in God’s ultimate plan for my life, I would never be able to experience the peace of mind I have in taking risks every day. It’s an amazing sense of freedom to put it clearly. So if anyone was to ask my advice on taking risks, I would highly recommend talking to God about it first. Ask Him whether you should move forward and let him direct your steps. Remember, faith and risk go hand in hand.”

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Well, it’s taken years of trial and error to perfect our technology and get it where it is today. Not only are we able to provide a highly intuitive streaming platform, but I was able to secure a patent on the technology, which ended up giving us the upper hand in this crazy competitive market. It took 5 years to acquire the patent, and I was totally worth the wait. VIOOZ offers a true pay-per-view solution which allows content creators to schedule both social events and paid events on one master calendar that fans can follow. Think of it as Google Calendar combined with TV Guide and pay-per-view all rolled into one. Each content creator controls their own individual master calendar, but everyone’s on one platform. It’s quite unique! We’re able to give monetary control back to our content creators and allow them to manage their schedules, yet offer their fans an inside look into their social life via their personal calendar. We’ve got some other things cooking too, but we’ll let the cat out of the bag when the time is right.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m based out of Orange County, so where do I start, lol? I live really close to the beach, so I would start with an amazing dinner at the Chart House in Dana Point. It’s located at the top of the cliffs and overlooks Dana Point Harbor. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking and their chocolate lava cake is to die for. The next day, we would spend it strolling downtown San Clemente where there’s a ton of cute shops and amazing food.  The San Clemente pier is at the end of the block, so we could hang out and take in the sunset. Over the next couple of days we could go “thrifting” at some of the local vintage stores throughout Orange County or maybe hop on the train in San Juan and head down to San Diego for the day.  The opportunities are endless!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow, I have a lot of people who have contributed to my success over the last 6 years, but if it hadn’t been for the support of my Family, Brent, Faith & Jordan and some exceptional team members and investors, Nathan Marks, Jaime Peralta, and Barbara & MIckey Shubin to name a few, we would not be where we are today. I owe them a debt of gratitude for their continued friendship and loyalty to this project.  I am blessed and God is good!
