Meet Lindsay Benitez | Leadership Trainer & Keynote Speaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsay Benitez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lindsay, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my Leadership Training & Speaking business because I have always been passionate about helping to develop leaders, raising awareness around the importance of inclusive environments, and helping individuals recognize their own strengths. After 15 years in Human Resources in fast-paced industries, I saw firsthand how much potential is lost when leaders don’t have the tools and awareness they need to create meaningful careers and lives for themselves.
I honestly didn’t plan to pursue a business full-time, but I realized I could make a bigger impact outside the walls of one organization. My thought process was to blend my HR expertise, coaching skills, and experience as a First-Generation leader to help others transform how they see themselves and how leaders show up for their teams.
I’m committed to creating spaces where leaders can learn how to lead with authenticity and redefine success on their own terms. I also help organizations build cultures that truly support their communities across all backgrounds.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Lindsay B Coaching LLC, exists to help leaders and organizations unlock potential and create meaningful workplace experiences that are authentic, intentional, and empowering.
What sets me apart is my deep HR expertise and approach to authentic leadership, which integrates leadership training with the awareness of what it truly means to inclusively lead a multi-generational and cross-cultural workforce. Not as separate tracks, but as inseparable parts of what it means to truly lead in today’s world. I believe being a strong leader now requires more than just strategy or management skills; it requires cultural awareness, empathy, and the ability to create inclusive spaces in and out of the workplace.
I am most proud of the partnerships and experiences I’ve been able to create in the two years I’ve been in business. I’ve partnered with organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, INROADS, Children’s Hospital LA, Cal State University, and Lean in Latinas, where I serve as Chief People Officer, to create meaningful and empowering experiences for their communities. With 24 speaking engagements in 2025, I’m proud to have brought meaningful conversations and experiences around communication, awareness, leadership and empowerment across various groups in LA and virtually across the country. As a native Angeleno, supporting my community especially during the year we’ve had has been an unforgettable experience and truly energizes me.
I got to where I am by leaning into what I love most: coaching leaders, developing talent, and creating spaces where people can thrive. Transitioning from a stable, senior HR career to running my own business full-time has not been easy, but my passion for serving others, staying intentional, and building authentic connections has guided me every step of the way. Stepping into uncertainty, learning new skills as a solopreneur, and doing this work especially during a time when the idea of inclusion is being challenged has certainly been a test. What I’ve also learned is that when you’re truly passionate about making a difference and serving the community, the right opportunities and connections fall into place to help you get there.
I want the world to know that Lindsay B Coaching isn’t just about helping people lead better, it’s about helping them lead differently and authentically, in a way that honors both who they are and who they want to become.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my favorite places in LA are spread out all over! If we’re in the San Fernando Valley, I’ll take them to Topanga Social. If we want to head down to West LA, a picnic at Burton Chace Park in Marina Del Rey. If we’re in the South Bay, there are so many wonderful local breweries to try out.
One of my favorite activities are the Studio Tours, like Warner Bros. During the holidays, I especially love heading to either the Grove or the Americana for dinner and a movie.
As a big sports fan, we would of course catch a Laker game, Dodger game, or Rams game depending on the time of year.
I also love heading to concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, The Greek, or the Forum.
Can you tell I love my city?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to every First-Generation leader who has ever felt like they had to figure everything out on their own. Our collective resilience, determination, and ability to navigate spaces without a roadmap have inspired so much of my work.
First-Gen leaders are often the first to graduate from college and step into new careers, the first to break patterns, and the first to redefine what success looks like for themselves and their families. They carry the weight of being “the first” and the courage to become the example for others, and that strength is at the heart of why I do what I do.
