We had the good fortune of connecting with Lita Cline and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lita, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born and raised in Stinnett, Texas. A small town filled with love and support. Though I faced challenges, many people from small towns see, they formed me into the person I am today. A person who will follow their dreams no matter the circumstances.
I am thankful to always be able to call this place home.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I like to think what sets me apart from others is my free spirit. Though many people have this, in the modeling world it can be challenging!
Thousands of girls are competing to be the best or the prettiest, when in reality, all you need is to love yourself and what you are doing.
I hope most people in the world realize this, especially if they want to model.
It can be a challenge always comparing yourself to others, it’s what we do everyday without even realizing it. Love comes from within and when you have this then it flows from you into the world.
I’m different and that’s okay, I will always be myself and dress how I want, do what makes me happy. Not to please others but to please myself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
NYC! Definitely the place to visit. I’ve had friends visit and depending on the area in the city I always show them the best spots I’ve found. In Brooklyn, Prospect Park is a MUST!
Central Park is great but there is something about Prospect that has my heart.
The main spots I always take everyone to, Times Square, The Statue of Liberty, The 9/11 Memorial, The Soup Kitchen!
I like to play pool so I’ve found a few places in Manhattan that are great! The Dark Bullet and The Skinny Bar are two of my favorites! Free pool and free burlesque, can’t go wrong.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank my mom, dad, grandparents, other family, friends and especially my agent, Diane Dick. I’ve never felt more love or support from these people. No matter the case they are there for me and I can always count on them.

A book I recently read “Untethered Soul” -Michael Alan Singer,
talks about just letting go & finding peace. With the world we are living in, I find it very important to live with love and find happiness.
