We had the good fortune of connecting with Louis Goodman Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Louis, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Embracing risk has been fundamental to my journey in modeling and acting. The world of performance is inherently unpredictable, and stepping outside of my comfort zone has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally.
In modeling, the competition is fierce, and opportunities can often come down to a leap of faith. When I first started, I risked putting myself out there—attending auditions and casting calls, even when I felt uncertain about my chances. Each time I took that risk, I learned something new about the industry and myself. Whether it was trying a new look or style that felt unfamiliar, or taking on projects that pushed my boundaries, I found that the rewards often outweighed the fears.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been modeling for a few years now, and during this time, I decided to fully commit to my passion. I actively sought out gigs, submitting myself to various opportunities and understanding the importance of perseverance. One thing that sets me apart is my unwavering work ethic; I believe in outworking not just others, but also my past self. I tackle challenges by starting my day early and making the most of every moment—I refuse to waste time when there’s so much to accomplish.
What I want the world to know is that anything is possible if you are willing to put your all into it. Dedication to your craft is essential, and every moment should be spent nurturing what you love. My journey to where I am today is a testament to the power of resilience and seizing opportunities. I’ve put myself in the right positions and stayed committed, refusing to give up, and I encourage everyone to pursue their dreams with the same fervor. Success doesn’t come easy, but with hard work and determination, it is absolutely achievable.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting the area for a week, I’d make sure we had the time of our lives! We’d kick off our days at the beach in Santa Monica, soaking up the sun and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. There’s nothing like lounging on the sand, catching up on life, and making sure they feel supported and heard. We’d find cozy coffee shops nearby to sip on our favorite brews, where we could have deep conversations and moments of laughter.

Throughout the week, I’d capture our adventures with lots of pictures, ensuring we immortalize those joyful moments together wherever we go. Whether we’re out exploring local markets, hitting up trendy restaurants for delicious meals, or visiting iconic spots, I want to create a collection of memories that reflect our good time together. Ultimately, it’s all about enjoying great company and cherishing the simple joys, as I truly believe that spending quality time with amazing people is what makes life special.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
