We had the good fortune of connecting with Luc Silveira and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Luc, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Every habit helps me. Everything I do, I try to do with a sense of ceremony that helps me stay present.
Going to the gym, eating healthy, waking up early. All that helps me with my work.
Habits are the first step to success. No matter what your goal is, inserting habits in your routine can prevent you from losing focus.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
After spending a decade living in Los Angeles, CA, after my son Lorenzo was born, I decided to return to Brazil in 2011 and start my own production company, Silverlast Productions. Since then, the company has become a reference in the production of shows, events and tour management, gaining international recognition. In just a few years, I had already worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry, such as Roger Waters, Guns N’ Roses, Black Sabbath, Foo Fighters, Bob Dylan, Madonna, Lady Gaga and Ringo Starr, as well as the late Chris Cornell.

Over the years, the tours became longer and more exhausting, leading me to open the company’s first office abroad, in Miami, in 2014. However, destiny took him back to Los Angeles. In 2018, I was already involved in the production of large-scale events, including the prestigious Golden Globe ceremony.

Throughout my career, I accumulated thousands of events and shows, traveling throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Each tour brought unique stories and memories. In recent years, I had the opportunity to produce Clive Davis’ annual party before the Grammy Awards, as well as the Oscar nomination ceremony in Beverly Hills.

“It’s surreal! One night you come out of the bathroom and see in front of you, none other than Richie Sambora, from Bon Jovi, talking and having a beer with Lars Ulrich from Metallica… The next night you are working with John Travolta and Harrison Ford… it’s unbelievable”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For me it’s all about the food! The Pitfire Pizza in North Hollywood has the best Pizza in town, good atmosphere and great people. I love hiking and the Santa Monica Mountains have the best trails. You can loose yourself, literally.
Also, taking a tour at the Getty Center is as learning as it is inspiring.
And finally, enjoying a concert under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl is a unique experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize, Gisele Firmino. She’s a talented Writer & Lyricist. Her novel The Marble Army, captures the hardship of growing up in Brazil during the military dictatorship. Rebels fighting for their lives with only uncertainty and hope.
Gisele is a rebel and an inspiration.
