Meet Luca Buzas | Celebrity Stylist & Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Luca Buzas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Luca, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The motivation behind starting my own business was originally my passion to create interesting content and media. I had the drive to help models and actors look their best in front of the camera, boosting their confidence in their professions. I love to collaborate with other like minded creatives and business owners to make their visions come to life.

I started my career in Shanghai, China and after 5 years of working there, it was time for me to move to the US to work with more international clients. At that point in my career, It was now or never.

In 2017, I moved to LA with a very clear direction and motivation on expending my business in the US. As a celebrity stylist and hair/makeup artist, I am now fortunate to work with all types of brands, clients, aspiring actors and artists every day.

I often coordinate or creative direct commercial and branded shoots as well, depending on the needs of each individual client. Each unique project has formed my specific style over time and helped me grow a business that I was only able to dream of just a couple of years ago.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I choose to be positive at the core in every situation, to surround myself with positive people and I choose to fill my mind with positive thoughts. As a celebrity stylist and hair/makeup artist, I am now fortunate to work with all types of brands, clients, aspiring actors and artists every day. I treat others how I wish them to treat me and I give without expecting anything in return. I say thanks everyday for the life I have, and the path I know is laid before me. Everything happens for a reason. Having this mentality has taught me to overcome any situation and grow me to where I’m at now.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I like to discover new places when my friends are in town, my favorite spots are Soho House, Catch and Casa Madera in West Hollywood. Also, I love the beach and hiking trips during the weekends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom has always been my first and most important mentor. She instilled in me the value of hard work, taught me to believe in myself and supported me every step on my way in my career. I have been fortunate to have several professional mentors such as producers, directors, photographers around the world in the US, in Asia and in Europe throughout my life that have taken me under their care, generously shared their knowledge and time, courageously challenged me, and opened themselves up to my endless inquiries. I am very grateful for every shoot and production that I was involved in, they have led me to where I am now.
