Meet Lucaa Freyer | CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lucaa Freyer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lucaa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was doing freelance for a few years and realized how many artists needed a support team to help them through their music career. That, and talking with so many other producers, engineers, and executives, I found that it was a struggle for them getting paid on a regular basis. So I came across the idea of creating a business where artists and their team are both taken care of. We manage the music and the finances for both artist and employee. It breaks the tension and stress that can be carried in to a session.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We have always wanted to allow all artists to access our services we provide for our signed artists. Turning an artist away is not what we do. One of our most favorite ways to get to know us is using our one-time offer for new clients a $100 4 hour consult. They get to work with a chosen producer and engineer for their project. They will also have in their session, our vocal coach. All studio and rates are covered in that $100. We built this concept on the idea of allowing artists to get to know their team before they commit. Our only changes that occurs are our rates due to inflation. What really allows us to grow with little change and worrisome, is the fact that we are a team. We all bring to the table our own personal experiences. Our own wins and fails. This really helps us create the best product and strategy for us as a business. Our brand will put forth the highest level of quality expected. Too many times we have encountered artists who don’t want to release a music, trying it out as a hobby, impatient of the process, and so much more. We will provide the highest quality for their body of work. This also requires sacrifice from the artist.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our favorite spots to take a new client are very specific to the artist. We start by providing lunch at some of our favorite rooftops. The Highlight Room, The Rooftop by JG, Casa Madera and of course Soho House. Cocktails and food are all provided and discussing the lifestyle of living in Hollywood. Selling the artists on not just the music but the lifestyle they will be living is also a perk. Showing the artists after lunch some of the exclusive recording studios we have access to will be next. Allowing them to envision them working in these places really start to help bring to life their vision. We will also introduce them to a number of incredibly talented people who will be assigned to their project and they will have access to, to further their career and their creative endeavors.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Saxxess wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for the sacrifice, commitment and lifestyle of the people who’ve supported us everyday– our families. Moms, dads, aunts, uncles, you name it, they all deserve so much thanks for allowing us to help and advise artists and musicians. Watching and learning from their own successes and failures teaches us what it means to stay the course and trust the process. Sure, we can learn from teachers, coaches, mentors, but in reality, our families are those who molded us and taught us how to listen, how to compete, how to focus, how to overcome and most of all, how to be patient. All these areas are what Saxxess is built on.
