We had the good fortune of connecting with Lucas Tartaglia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lucas, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Ever since I was young I was always surrounded by music. As I grew up, I felt less and less like I wanted to have a regular office job, or just any regular job for that matter. As I felt this I also discovered the joy of music production around the same time I started learning guitar. I think as I started developing these skills and growing older, I realized that if I pursued any other career, I would regret not going after music, the one that I was truly passionate about.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what sets me apart from others is that I draw inspirations from all kinds of different genres of music, and I think it shows. I’m very excited for my release “Too Much” with .dru, another very talented producer and artist. We’ve worked so hard on this song and we’ve been so excited for people to hear it! For me personally, it was a long road getting to where I am today. Although very few people know it, I started releasing music many years ago under a different name, but the quality wasn’t quite there yet, and because of this I ran into issues with my music and my branding being poor. I ended up completely rebranding my project into “NOIRE” about 2 years ago, finally putting out my first single in early 2020. I was very fortunate with this first release as it gained a ton of success through Tribal Trap and I am very thankful for the love the song has received. If there’s one lesson I’ve learned along the way, its that there are always going to be many people doubting you, but that you can’t let that keep you down. There were always more no’s then yes’s in the beginning for me with my music, but it just takes that one yes to get things rolling.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d say that there’s a lot LA has to offer especially in terms of food. I think in a week’s time you can get a good idea of all the various food cultures that we have to offer. My personal recommendations in the area are: GEN KBBQ, Tu Madre, Figaro Bistrot, The Halal Guys, Thai By Trio, Home Restaurant. I think the best places the visit and hang out by are probably the Griffith Observatory, Santa Monica Pier, The Hollywood Walk of Fame, 3rd St. Promenade, Universal Studios and City Walk, The Broad, The Grove & The Americana. The list could go on forever really!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people, really. I firstly want to thank my parents for introducing music to me when I was young, and always showing support for me through my journey. Also all of my teachers throughout High-School and University have all given me so much advice and have helped me grow musically and as a person.
