We had the good fortune of connecting with Mackenzie Robert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mackenzie, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m from Bedford, NH! Bedford is a wonderful town in southern NH, just north of Boston. I was very fortunate for my upbringing as it was very strong in values and family focused. At the core this makes up who I am and also what my business is about. I’m all about celebrating people and creating a family environment where everyone is supported and accepted. I think that’s the most important thing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a medical aesthetician and I work with people to help them achieve their best and most glowing skin! I work with a range of modalities from facials and brows to lashes and lasers – all in effort of bettering my Kenzie Skin babes lifestyles and confidence levels. So, if anyone is needing a home for their skincare come visit us at @kenzieskin! – Or if anyone is looking to learn more about their skin come follow along at @kenzieskin on Instagram for educational posts as well. We are an open door and love supporting other creatives, entrepreneurs, skincare enthusiasts etc. so come say hi…let’s be friends!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would knock out downtown Nashville on the first night – LOL – and hit all the bars and honky tonks. After that I would bring them through our neighborhood, 12 South, for brunch and end the day in The Gulch. I’d later venture further out of the city for a trip to either Cheekwood Estate & Gardens or Arrington Vineyards and maybe end the day at The Bluebird or The Listening Room so they could experience the fabric of our city – the songwriting and music magic that builds this town. Next on the list would probably be the Farmer’s Market and Germantown and a trip to East Nashville. I would also sneak in a Nashville Soccer game if I could – newly discovered soccer fans over here!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Since starting in this field I’ve been blessed to have encountered many supportive people. I would venture to say that the aesthetics industry is full of some of the most driven and inspiring people that I have experienced. So, I am truly grateful for everyone I’ve crossed paths with, but a couple moments do stand out. I am very grateful to my online family and all of the supportive estheticians from around the country and beyond that fill my cup and support my content on the daily. I wouldn’t be on the journey I’m on without this group and I hope they feel the love reciprocated – and I can’t wait to keep all growing together! I also am grateful for my current team led by Josh Davis. We are all on our own paths but support each other in the lanes we’re in and that’s a unique and empowering thing I do not take for granted. And to bring it back to the start I am most grateful to my family for their support through this process. – Also – publications like Voyage LA for giving home to these conversations, you guys are awesome!!
