We had the good fortune of connecting with Mackenzie Stone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mackenzie, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Time blocking has been the key to my success! It magically maximizes the amount of time I have in a day. Within my time-blocking schedule, I’ve carved out a non-negotiable morning routine which includes waking up with the sun and getting grounded in meditation. I wake up and follow a strict schedule that allows me to gain control of my day by taking care of “me-time” first, so no matter how crazy my day gets, I feel fulfilled knowing that every day starts with positive energy, goal-setting intentions, a powerful blend of superfood coffee, and a killer Pilates workout! Then I jump right into my first time-block, with a short break before my next. Living by this type of schedule allows me to look back on each and every week with confidence that I’m that much closer to achieving my next career goal!

What should our readers know about your business?

What sets me apart from other Realtors is my deep intuition of understanding EXACTLY what my clients want upon first meeting them. With my intimate knowledge of Los Angeles, I’m able to give helpful insight for places they may have never thought of as well as simply narrowing down options to save my clients time. If I’ve learned one thing in real estate, it’s that I have to put my ego aside. This is a job of service, I’m here to serve my clients the best that I can – which includes not giving my input (unless asked). Rather, I firmly believe in arming my clients with all the tools they need to make the absolute best decisions for themselves throughout a transaction. Last, but not least, I love what I do more than anything – and I believe it shows. It is my greatest pleasure to help buyers and sellers achieve their Real Estate Goals. So with that, I make sure that every transaction is FUN. There are hard parts, don’t get me wrong, but I pride myself on softening the edges when times get sticky! To deliver the kind of service that my clients deserve I’ve learned to become the best listener. What my clients want is my priority; the best detective, giving my clients ALL options so they feel confident making their OWN decisions; and the best negotiator, so my clients can TRUST that they are in the best hands.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Los Angeles has my heart! It’s one of the only cities in the world that caters to absolutely every personality type. You can be a chameleon in this city with changing interests around every corner. My perfect itinerary to show off the city would look something like this:

Day 1: You came for the celebrities, didn’t you? : I would definitely start with a beach day in Malibu at Soho House, paddle boarding in the ocean after a glass of lunchtime wine. Then catch the sunset with some sushi at NOBU next door. (Look cute, you’re almost guaranteed to brush shoulders with your favorite celeb.)

Day 2: Get spiritual: Try Kundalini Yoga over at RA MA then head over to Venice Beach to eat breakfast at Gjusta. Walk off that meal while hitting the shops on Abbot Kinney and stop in at the Den Mother to relax with one of their signature Functional Medicine Therapies! For lunch head over to The Rose Cafe for the best Carbonara your tongue has ever tasted! In the late afternoon make sure to hit the beach for ecstatic dance at The Wave Silent Disco. Now that you’ve worked up an appetite head over to Cobi’s for a chic dinner with a boatload of flavor. For a late night wind-down, I highly recommend going to a sound bath (by Guy Douglas) if he’s in town.

Day 3: Let’s Pick Up The Pace: In the morning we’re heading to West Hollywood for a day of eating and shopping, only after a mandatory hike at Runyon Canyon, of course! Don’t sleep on Salt’s Cure for breakfast – one of the best in the city. Now let’s head to Melrose Place for the ultimate shopping experience. Next, hit one of L.A.’s trendy pools for a social scene like Petit Ermitage. Once your cheeks are burned from the sun it’s time to get ready for dinner. Lately my favorites are Saffy’s, Mother Wolf, or La Dolce Vita.

Day 4: Eastside: No L.A. trip would be complete without a stop at Courage Bagels! My secret is while the line is long, ask your friend to hold your spot while you run across the street to grab the best fresh juices at “California Grill”. Some of the best hiking and horseback riding is at Griffith Park. Eat an early dinner at my favorite Pizza joint in the city, L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele

before catching your favorite band at the Outdoor Greek Theatre!

Day 5: Beverly Hills, That’s Where You Want To Be! : But only after eating at Destroyer in Culver City for another mouth watering breakfast! Then we’ll head over to the world famous Rodeo Drive for some fashion inspo. & to pick up a pair of très chic sunglasses for our lunch at The Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel for a meal that will break the bank and the internet, with the insane instagram photos I will take of you on the red carpet by the lobby doors. After I’ve overfed you, we’ll head over to the new and improved Olympic Spa for the luxurious Goddess Treatment. Last, but not least we’ll head over to Kazan Ramen, a Michelin star ramen restaurant serving truffle oil inside their house made noodle soup.

If you’re still here for the weekend, I recommend a quick 2 hour drive to Temecula for wine tasting, Big Bear for some snow, or Palm Springs for some sun!
