Meet Madison Federico | Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Madison Federico and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Madison, how do you think about risk?
Taking risks is a prominent aspect of thriving in this industry. A personal, consistent goal of mine is to surpass my comfort zone and continue improving my work, in hopes of bringing forth future opportunities.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is a major part of my identity. It’s my creative outlet, which allows me to exert my ideas and skill into the universe. My favorite part about working with clients and filmmakers is talking about their vision and collaborating on the best way to bring a character to life. I got to where I am today by exceeding expectations and forming relationships with my clients. It takes a village to create a movie and every person involved has such a fundamental role in making it happen. I want the world to know I take pride in bridging the gap between imagination and reality.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend is my whole world! Whenever she visits, we totally make time for some of our favorite spots in the city. I would definitely start the trip off with lunch at Pinocchio’s Monte Carlo Deli, for the best homemade pasta in LA, followed by a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood, to visit some of our favorite rides and movie sets. When we’re not shopping at Universal’s CityWalk, we love to visit some of our favorite stores in Downtown Burbank, which include: Slone Vintage, Fashion Nova and Halloween Town. The following day we would grab some boba at It’s Boba Time and end our weekend with The Mystic Museum’s Evil Dead and 90s Slashers Exhibit in Downtown Burbank, which is essential for horror lovers like us!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My brother and mentor, Tommy Tafoya has had a major influence on myself and my business. Being that we are bicoastal, we love to bounce ideas and current trends off each other.
