We had the good fortune of connecting with Mallery Jenna Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mallery Jenna, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process is to have an idea that you know in your heart and soul is worth pursuing then do it plan out how you would like to make this idea into a reality into your business. Be willing to network, and collaborate as well as time management and delegate support.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Transgender Excellence Academy focuses on uplifting our Transgender, Nonbinary, Intersex, Two-Spirit community members through educational, trainings, creative outlets such as podcasts, career building, holistic trust building exercises, and independent consulting to a multitude of business and organizations.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my bestie and family to Griffith Park to go hiking and to see the observatory. I would then take them to the Santa Monica pier for some arcade games and beach volleyball. Have brunch and/or dinner at Fred 62 my favorite place for impossible breakfast tacos and French toast. We would then go to West Hollywood and dance at Trunks. The next day check out so many incredible museums, aquariums, and the zoo squeeze in a little bowling at Lucky Strike in Hollywood followed by some Dave and Busters.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A Hateful Homicide true crime and investigative journalism podcast and YouTube series that focuses on covering the murders and hate crimes of our Transgender, Nonbinary, Intersex, Two-Spirit community members in the United States and abroad.

Transgender Empathy Training is a two-part training that provides empathetic approaches and strategies when connecting with the TGI2+ communities.
