We had the good fortune of connecting with Manu Sanghu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Manu, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When we started Cali tardka there really wasn’t no thought process . We saw that our mom had a strength in cooking and randomly the thought of selling food came out

What should our readers know about your business?
Cali tardka is a social media based restaurant that is out of a house . We are located in Riverisde California.

Something that gets us excited about our business is that we have marketing freedom . We love to colab and work with some great people like celebrities , our local Riverside community or your any influencers that are unique in their own ways . By that we just made a great network of people that we can rely on when needed .

Was it easy ? No it definitely was not . When we started going fully time on the business , it was a challenge to get exposure since we were working out of the house . We pretty much came to a conclusion that we have to step out of our comfort zone and learn how to use social media and market our story . We started to hit up influencers to get the name out . From that I fell in love with PR and I started to learn how we can pitch our story to networks . From that we been on multiple tv shows like “Acess Hollywood “ with Mario Lopez and “The Jennifer Hudson show “ .

Something that we would like the world to know is to not quit . After going thru multiple financial obstacles in our life we still pulled through and made something work for the better .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If one of my friends are coming over for a weekend we are for sure going to gonna hit some of the breweries we got out here . We might hit up some gems like mama Mia’s which has some great Italian food in Riverisde . After that we can hit up some really good crepe spots we got out here as well

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
