Meet Marc Afzal | Real Estate Investor & Broker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marc Afzal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marc, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and success of my brand boils down to these 5 important aspects:
1. Being intentional and taking ownership
2. Moving on from the research stage quickly into action, being afraid to take actionable steps can hold anyone back.
3. Focusing on money making objectives instead of spending time on shiny objects.
4. Take Action and stop avoiding action, and show up everyday with intent to succeed.
5. I understand that I am in control and no one will do the work for me that I need to get done.
6. Living by codes and ethics, my business with Values and Our Mission statement.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
One of our core values as a legitimate house buying company in California is providing a client-first approach which we do by providing service that is an A+ Rating with the BBB to every homeowner we connect with. Integrity is the number one reason so many have chosen to work with us. Sell Quick California puts our reputation on the line every day.
Our proudest moments really come when we are able to bring joy to the homeowners we help. Unfortunately, a lot of the clients we deal with are impacted by some unfortunate life circumstances. They do need to sell fast and move on and start a new chapter.
We got to where we are in our business because we say what we do, if we are not the best fit we let our clients know. We only work with clients if it is beneficial to both parties.
Challenges involve helping more clients, we try to add a retail listing side which we call the highest price listing option, a mortgage lending side for those that may not be a good fit, and refinancing may be best. The focus is to help more by providing more options.
Some lesson we have learned along the way is that relationships go a long way. We have learned that as we continue to treat people like people and focus on their needs, in return they refer us more clients.
Our brand and story are simple, we want to help as many people by pointing them in the right direction with our services and if our services are not best suited then we will point you to the best direction well suited for your situation. Once you contact us we immediately get to work to help you based on your goals, situation, needs, and family. Whether you become a client of ours or not, we are out to help as many people as we can.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

LA feels like an epicenter for a lot of different attractions and activities and there is never a dull moment. For someone visiting LA for the first time, there are three areas of focus (as cliche as they may seem to LA natives!).
LA is a foodie heaven.
A way to my heart is through the stomach and so I love to eat my way around the city. Getting a flavor and sampling different and unique cuisines is high on my list. DTLA is definitely a foodie scene. Grand Central Market is a must, different food vendor stalls, you get a taste for all types of cuisines. But if you don’t feel like venturing that far out to DTLA, then The Grove’s Original Farmer’s Market, also a similar concept, allows for the same hustle and bustle and great food experience. For BBQ lovers, KBBQ is always at the top of my list, and a visit to K-town for some authentic KBBQ is always on the agenda.
Scenic Adventures.
Big into fitness considering all the delicious foods you can eat in LA, you can get some great hiking in with impressive views and great photo opportunities at staples like Griffith Park and Runyon Canyon. These are probably some of the most popular, and easier hiking trails but the views are priceless. Always bring enough water, and definitely bring your camera!
A Shopping Mecca.
There are so many different pockets of shopping available in LA – from high end to discounted, mainstream to unique pieces. You have your typical touristy spots like Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica Third St. Promenade, The Grove (best time to go is during the Holiday season), to more unique finds at Abbott Kinney, the Melrose Trading Post and the Fashion District in DTLA. These spots are perfect to grab a bite to eat, people watch and of course shop, all while getting your steps in.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My beautiful and amazing wife Sheila. She is beyond supportive throughout my journey in my business. She has always been understanding of a business owner and CEO and how much time and effort it takes to succeed.
