We had the good fortune of connecting with Marc Ranger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marc, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
My baseline philosophy when it comes to risk is that if you’re not growing, it means you’re not taking enough risk. Embracing risk and getting out of your comfort zone as a lifestyle is essential to creating a better life. If you can make “taking risk” a habit and not be overly concerned about what other people think, you will accomplish more than others. It’s very hard and I don’t always want to do it but it’s essential to progress and happiness long term. Risk taking is also essential to growth in business. With risk comes a lot of fear and fear is paralyzing when there is money on the line and no guarantees. Taking risk in business means that things will not always feel intuitively right, but you still must jump. It’s the first and biggest step. Taking risks also forces you to figure things out. Complacency is the biggest enemy and sometimes you have to create pressure by taking risks. I have always been the most creative and driven in my business career when I took the most risk. When you have limited options, you have to figure it out. Risk combined with a relentless hustle is an unstoppable combination in business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve been a businessman, entrepreneur, and financial professional for over 15 years and nothing came easy. My personal mission was always to make a lot of money to take care of my family, be successful in business, and create change for other people. Overcoming challenges in the process has been a daily ordeal. To be up for it, I had to learn that hard work, sacrifice, and delayed gratification is the price. Staying true to myself and having a focused drive help me stay the course. I started the Money MTVTION Brand in Los Angeles as a success lifestyle clothing and media brand created to address the gap of a premium streetwear brand that promoted the journey of the self-made modern entrepreneur, business leader, and high achiever. We started the brand with a simple mission: to inspire a life of power and freedom. The power to control your life and the freedom to dictate your own circumstances. What separates us is our identity as a brand designed to activate independent thinking, taking risk, and relentless commitment. Money is a by-product of your true motivation – your purpose. We honor the self-made business hustlers in pursuit of their purpose. Purpose never dies. We will continue to build a platform that integrates our clothing and media information to embody this way of life and enhance your ability to live it every day.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Bludsos bbq to watch a football game, Drobe Stogies for a cigar in Inglewood, WP24 for a drink and the view, The Dime on Fairfax for some music and vibe, Clippers game at the Staples Center, BOA steakhouse on sunset, and The Laugh Factory for Chocolate Sundaes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Father who taught me that the key to success and being the best is being willing to pay the price.
