We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Isabel Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria Isabel, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Gardening definitely taught me about the flow of life. It taught me to be patient and to not look at the end result as the only important factor. I learned that the beginning is just as important as the middle and the end. From planting the seed to watering, taking care of and having patience the end result was a complete full circle, and it helped me have a consistent and wonderful relationship with my plants, which is what I mainly use all of my products.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel the one thing that sets me apart from others is that I can be very silly, I like to have fun with everything I do. It’s not to say that I don’t have serious moments, but I really enjoy what I do It makes me laugh. It makes me happy. It brings me joy!
What I’m really excited about is continuing my magic and seeing where it takes me and everyone else!
It took me years to realize that my whole lifetime as of now was always magical and that I was very To have wonderful teachers, I would say that for me it wasn’t very difficult, but it wasn’t easy either. I had to learn from mistakes in order to better my products and better what I put out there.
This means that even if we try, it doesn’t mean that everything’s going to At first it just means we have to give ourselves some grace and take our time and then End up working out, At least I believe so.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the beach, I love being around water. There’s just something so wonderful about having the sun warm your skin, the fresh air cleanse your energy, The sand at your feet and did I mention the fun part is jumping in the water! Also, sometimes it’s just fun to lay on the sand and relax!
I’m from Long Beach so there’s a lot of fun things to do here. There’s wonderful restaurants. There’s really cool shops and coffee places as well!
But in my world, I’d probably probably go to the beach, hit up Rad Coffee for their iced Spanish Latte with soy milk then head on over to either Eclipsed Emporium for some darkly inclined shopping, and then to Dainty Disco for some cute accessories, and of course finish the day by grubbing at Sea Birds for some Zippi Fries.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout up my husband, Andrew, who not only supported my endeavors from the beginning, but believed in me from the very start. He’s also a big part of what I do and helps me at events. He’s the best!
I also want to shout out our witchy community, the customers who have become friends and all the wonderful people I’ve connected with. You are all an inspiration to me!
