We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Lobanova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was working in tech and web3 industries for a while. I met my co-founder Kyle at Crypto Investment Summit in Los Angeles, I was in-house PR manager of the crypto wallet, and he was the CMO of DeFi project. We started to work together on the side and then one day decided to open PR and communications agency together. I named it Interstellar Digital, he loved the name. I quit my job and dedicated 100% of my time to our agency.

What should our readers know about your business?
Interstellar Digital is a PR and communications agency. We help businesses to get exposure in media, grow, meet other industry players, and sign necessary partnerships. Our competitive advantages:
1) We usually do not use paid newswires, all placements in media are organic
2) We are deep into tech and crypto ourselves and our copywriters too
3) We can provide the brand awareness and exposure not only in the US, but in other different regions like Asia, Latin America, CIS region, Europe, etc
4) We worked with the clients from different regions before
5) Me and my co-founder are experts in the field, invited to speak at many events and conferences
We have had our agency for almost 3 years now and we have worked with numerous amount of tech and crypto companies. It was not an easy journey but I am proud of where we are – recognizable award-receiving experts in the industry, invited to speak at the events and respected in the community.
How did I get into crypto? My classmate in the university started to do small free meetups for the crypto community 6 years ago, I started to attend and that is how I learned about crypto. Now he does a huge annual crypto conference in Dubai, I help to host events for clients all over the world and get invited to speak about building in crypto and PR in crypto.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have lived in many places – Moscow, Russia, Budapest, Hungary, Los Angeles, California. Now I live in Miami, Florida. Where would I take my best friend? Definitely to Frost Science museum. It has planetarium, aquarium, amazing rooftop view. When you walk around there, it almost seems unreal – fluorescent medusas floating in the dark, huge shark swims in aquarium above your head, and you can see the stars in the planetarium. I would take my friend to the design district, it is very artsy and beautiful and great for shopping. There is one of my favorite restaurants – Cote. They can grill your stake right on your table in front of you there.
I would definitely show my friend murals in Wynwood and take him or her to Villa Vizcaya. It is almost a tiny part of Italy in Miami.
In the evening I would take him or her for a drink at Sugar rooftop.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Kyle White, co-founder of Interstellar Digital, COO of Atom Foundation, crypto investor of the year 2021 according to Crypto Awards
