We had the good fortune of connecting with Marija Macesic and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marija, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk is part of any decision making. As soon as I accepted that, all my decisions seemed easier to make. I am also very versed with working around risk, given that in my full time professional career as a Project Manager, I had to quickly learn how to manage risks on day to day basis. I like considering how can present risks help me stir a decision to a comfortable solution.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My lifestyle coaching approach has always been about a comprehensive care of my clients. I cover many facets of their life in my coaching, from diets/training, to their sleeping habits/careers etc. I like to take an all inclusive approach to my clients’ lives and help them to overall feel good. Not just in one aspect of their life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d start with a rooftop bar so they can view the city. For example – Mama Shelter or Spire 73. One day I would take them for a drive around west LA, Beverly Hills on to Santa Monica. I would stop in SM or Venice for a cup of coffee and people watch for a bit. Next day I might take them to Malibu, specifically Point Dume. If my friend wanted to see some harsh realities of LA, I would take them through Skid Row so they can see the ‘not so glamorous’ realities of LA. If time and finances allowed I would definitely take them shopping to Westfield in Century city and stop for gelato at Bacio di Latte.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest encouragement in life are my clients. I account a lot of my success to them as they are the ones driving me to be better every day.
