We had the good fortune of connecting with Mark Pang and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mark, what role has risk played in your life or career?
No risk, no reward! I believe that risk is an important part of life and progress. Without taking risks, we limit our potential for growth and reward. While it’s important to assess and manage risks, playing it safe can also mean missing out on valuable opportunities. In my career, I’ve recognized the significance of taking calculated risks. By stepping outside my comfort zone, I’ve gained new experiences, learned valuable lessons, and achieved personal and professional growth. Embracing risk has allowed me to pursue new goals, challenge myself, and ultimately reap the rewards that come with it.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My mortgage business is dedicated to providing exceptional service and unique offerings to my clients. What sets me apart is that I am striving for the same goal as my clients which is wealth through real estate. I share my insight with clients based on my own experiences. I was fortunate enough to become a homeowner myself the second year I got into the industry. I am proud of myself for learning how to obtain a mortgage and buy real estate and I am excited to invest in more. I understand everyone’s finances are different and I aim to create personalized solutions tailored to each individual’s needs. I take pride in my ability to simplify the mortgage process and make it more accessible to everyone.
Building a successful mortgage business wasn’t easy. I started my journey in 2020 amist of the pandemic and experienced the lows and the highs of this competitive and ever-changing market. However, I overcame these obstacles by staying resilient, continually adapting my strategies, and focusing on delivering value to my clients.
Throughout my journey, I learned valuable lessons. One of the key lessons is the importance of building strong relationships with clients and colleagues earning their trust. I prioritize communication, actively listening to their needs, and providing expert guidance. Another lesson is the significance of staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to better serve our clients and ensure compliance.
I am excited about the opportunity to make a positive impact in people’s lives by providing them with the right mortgage solutions.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Let me start by saying LA is a vast city with something for everyone! There’s some much to do, and so little time in the day. If my best friends visited I would want to take them to a sports game depending on the season. LA games are always thrilling to attend. Go Lakers!
To eat, sandwich wise, I would take them to The famous Philippe’s, Home of the French Dip sandwiches or Uptown Provisions for a Spicy Gabagool! Kbbq, we are going to Daedo Sikang for some of the best cuts of meat or for the All You Can Eat option I’ll take them to RH-BBQ in Rowland Heights. So good. And lastly, also in Rowland Heights, we’re going to Quickly’s for a nightcap Boba Milk Tea. Haha
For a drink, I would take them to the Perch, which is a rooftop bar in DTLA, Death & Co. in Art’s District for a signature cocktail, or the Bungalow. These places are cool.
In the night time, I would take them to a rooftop bar maybe Spire 73 or the Perch for a signature cocktail or Good Times At Davey Waynes in Hollywood. That place is cool.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shoutout to my good friend Matt Ruiz. He introduced me to the industry via company Christmas party (haha), Avi Singh for helping me grow my database through the power of networking, Joyce Te who’s on my team and continues to learn industry knowledge with me, and Daniel Carrillo the Branch Manager of Encore Mortgage!
