We had the good fortune of connecting with matt green and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi matt, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
It taught me resilience and that hard work is an absolute crucial part of success.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has always centered around food I have always believed that you can pursue many jobs throughout your career but you should always maintain the core focus is in tact. I have had to overcome many things and still are today, however, if you are dedicated to producing a consistent quality product everyday your business and career will flourish. It takes a lot of discipline to show up for your profession everyday and push yourself to get be better every single day but that’s what it takes.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Day 1. Outdoor wood fired bbq with a campfire wine and craft beer Day 2. Beach and small bites all around town in Laguna Day 3. Padres game and small bites all throughout 5th Ave SD Day 4&5. Overnight trip to Santa Maria wine tasting and dinner at Jocko’s Day 6. Beach and swamis brewery Day 7. Laker game and dinner at The Palm

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is to my Father for encouraging me to chase what it is I love and never settle for anything else. He sacrificed everything he had for me to attend culinary school and he was the biggest advocate of education and what doors it will open up for you throughout your career.
