Meet Maxie Bishop | Human Hair Supplier

We had the good fortune of connecting with Maxie Bishop and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maxie, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson I have learned from being a business owner is never give up. During the first two years of being in business for myself I constantly doubted my decision to become an entrepreneur.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The thing that sets me apart from other suppliers in my industry is the quality of my products and excellent customer service. As far as my business practices customers come first. I’m proud of how far my company has grown. My family and friends are the pillars of my business. They have shown me the importance of a strong team. My journey has been full of heartaches and blessings. The challenges I’ve faced weren’t easy to overcome. I had to restructure my company several times throughout the years. The lessons I’ve learned has aided in the restructuring of my business. I want people to know that they can do anything they put their mind to, including being a successful entrepreneur.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a fan of my city. Los Angeles is filled with plenty of things to do. The Slauson Super Mall (swap meet) is one of my all time faves. The swap meet have multiple nail salons, makeup booths, a variety of restaurants, not to mention the wide variety of garments. Also the Hollywood walk of fame, Venice Beach, Roscoes Chicken and Waffles, the possibilities of places to visit in LA are endless.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The term “it takes a village”, well it actually took a village (family and friends) to get me to the point where I am today business wise. My family continuously encourage me to stay focus while helping me behind the scenes with their expertise and business practices. My friends have shown overwhelming support by modeling and financially assisting my brand.
