We had the good fortune of connecting with Maya Tuffin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maya, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
I talk a lot about the importance of having an idea of what you want your end goal to look like but being open to the Universe ultimately creating the outcome, in my podcast Hot Girl Evolving. When I first began my modeling career, I felt so passionately that this was my path and all I could ever amount to. It wasn’t until I was faced with the darker parts of the industry and my personal life that lead me to create my podcast as an outlet to be vulnerable and share my experiences. The younger version of me would’ve never imagined I’d find a passion outside of the idea I had set for myself. By removing limitations we open ourself up to all the possibilities of what our life can be rather than being attached to one end goal.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve dedicated my time on this planet to be a journey of believing you can create a life worth living. I think society prioritizes practicality over true joy. So many of us end up living a life that we didn’t necessarily want but felt obligated to. Society doesn’t encourage uncertain dreams but rather rewards a traditional path. I’ve gotten to where I am today by trusting in myself and the Universe to guide me. Stepping into the unknown without any idea of what the outcome will be has shaped the woman I am today. My podcast, Hot Girl Evolving, represents that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The most interesting place I’ve visited was Sydney, Australia. So if anyone visited me we’d be taking a 24 hour flight across the globe. After living in a big city like New York for so long you forget the power of nature. Living in Australia reconnected me with my heart and mind like I had never experienced before. I felt true presence for the first time in my entire life. I felt the energy of trees, the ocean and the space around me. It was magical.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The most impactful relationship in my life has been with my siblings. I feel responsible for representing the journey I’ve embarked on and to inspire them to create their reality. They know the girl I was from the beginning and understand why I am this version now. I feel so much gratitude to experience such deep love in this lifetime.
