We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Danielle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
I think this is such a very important question that doesn’t get asked often. My entire reason for starting PGV Soaps was solely and only because God told me to. He spoke to me and made it so clear that I couldn’t have ignored it if I wanted to. So in those moments when I feel like quitting, because let me be honest being an entrepreneur isn’t for the weak hearted, I remember the promise and the beautiful vision God gave me for this company. Mark my words, PGV Soaps is going to be a major common soap brand that is internationally known. To have a PGV Soap bar in your house will be as common as having toilet paper in your house ha ha. He promised it so that’s what I cling to even during those “slow months”. Literally all can change in a blink of an eye so instead of focusing on what I see currently or naturally, I just keep my eyes focused on the beautiful vision, the promised light at the end of the tunnel.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I remember having these black rashes break out on my arms summer of 2020. They were so itchy and they literally came out of nowhere. So I go to the doctor and she tells me it’s eczema and it just comes and goes and that I am to just get use to it, but I refused to accept it. I couldn’t wrap my mind around having something today that I didn’t have yesterday so that’s when I put my product to work! That is when PGV Soaps was really birthed because before then, I was just making products to keep amongst myself. I saw it worked and it helped me and that boosted my confidence to pu my products out there. One major lesson I learned so far is to not get so wrapped up in what others are doing around me. Don’t look to the left or right, but just stay focused and stay in my lane because it’s easy to get discourage and fall into a pit, but it’s way more harder pulling yourself out of it so don’t compare! Just focus on what you’re doing and the customers that are for you will come.

I want people to view PGV Soaps as a common household brand that’s safe for the entire family. No additives, No Chemicals, Just Natural Ingredients You can Pronounce

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A lot of people say memphis is known for its BBQ, but that’s not true and any true resident from my community knows that! Memphis is known for their HOT WINGS! So , the first place I would take my friends is to Wing Guru! They have the BEST Honey Gold (Guru Gold) wings in the city! We would then go to a grizzlie’s game downtown. I’m a nerd for science and history so I’ll definitely take them to the Stax Museum, Civil Rights Museum, Lorraine Motel, Memphis Botanical Garden, and Shelby Farms. That is a full week itinerary for sure ha ha

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Well of course I thank God for the amazing mentors he has placed in my life. These are connections that only God could have blessed me with. Major shoutout to Mrs. Tiphani Montgomery who is my amazing mentor. She provides so much insight, wisdom, and direction for me and my business. Honestly, when I first joined her program I barely had followers and no views or traffic on my site. The only person that was on my website was me and I would get on there to see if everything was working because I was wondering where were the people LOL. But i joined her course, Kingdom Entrepreneurship University, and she gave simple understandable advice and boom! I followed it and my reel of me doing a complete soap fail went viral. It was over a half of a million views. I love how she doesn’t withhold her personal life lessons or knowledge. She genuinely wants to see others not only reach her level but exceed it. I’m also grateful for the knowledge and gems that Monique Rodriguez, CEO of Mielle Organics, drop yearly. She hosts a women’s retreat that allows women business owners to come and network and retrieve knowledge that isn’t openly available to people from my community. Lastly, I thank God for my faithful customers as well! There are people who spend 400 dollars on my soap. I am so grateful for their loyalty. See I told you, these are relationships that can only come from God
