We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa (Mel) Wyatt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melissa (Mel), what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is consistency and grit & grind. I have built MW Enterprises LLC from the ground up I was not raised with a silver spoon in my month. Surrounding myself with great people that respect what I do and help push it forward was also helpful. I am a leader that believes that the best way to lead is to listen and learn. As a leader, I spend a lot of time communicating with my team so it is important to communicate clearly, do my best work, take responsibility, set a strong example, include everyone, strive for authenticity and be a thought leader. This is why I believe I have been successful.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
MW Enterprises LLC focuses on acquiring, owning, developing and managing residential, multifamily, small office, commercial and land throughout our focus areas. With a long-term view and a focus on preservation, we bring an unwavering commitment to quality and a collaborative process to each project. Our values of conscientiousness, context, and craftsmanship extend to the selection of partners who embody these ideals. We collaborate with thought leaders in the design, construction, and planning communities in order to create projects that are positioned for long term financial success and community benefit.

We also are big on teaching about building generational wealth through real estate especially to people of color. We believe that ownership is key to creating generational wealth.

Our firm is lead by minority women which is a rarity in real estate development that alone makes us very different.
