Meet Mia Moceri

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mia Moceri and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mia, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is living a life that glorifies Jesus..through worship, obedience, love for others, and faithful service. It means growing closer to Him, walking in His truth, and reflecting His character in everything I do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is an extension of my worship—it’s how I connect with God and reflect what He’s doing in my life. That includes my work as a makeup artist. For me, makeup isn’t just about making someone look good—it’s about helping them feel seen, valued, and confident in their God-given beauty. I want every person I work with to walk away feeling more like themselves, not covered up, but highlighted in the most empowering way.
What sets my work apart is that I approach it with purpose. Whether I’m doing a soft glam for a photoshoot or a bold look for a big event, I’m praying over my clients, creating a peaceful space, and using my hands to serve—not just to apply makeup, but to uplift.
Getting here definitely hasn’t been easy. There were seasons where I doubted if I had what it took, especially in such a competitive industry. I’ve faced rejection, comparison, and burnout. But God used every challenge to teach me trust, patience, and resilience. I’ve learned to let Him lead—whether that’s turning down jobs that don’t align with my values or stepping into opportunities that scare me because I know He’s with me.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success isn’t about going viral or being booked out every weekend. It’s about staying faithful, being kind, and letting my work speak for itself. I’ve also learned that community is everything. My parents, grandma, best friend Raeanne, and my church family have been the backbone of my journey. Their support and prayers have carried me through so much.
What I want the world to know is this: my story and my art are rooted in Jesus. If I can use makeup to remind someone of their worth, or even plant a seed of hope, then I’ve done what I was created to do. I’m not here to just make people look good—I’m here to make them feel loved.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I’ve got to give a huge shoutout to Jesus—He’s the reason for everything. My strength, my peace, my purpose—it all comes from Him. Every part of my journey starts and ends with worshiping Him and trying to live a life that reflects His love.
I also want to shout out my parents and grandma—they’ve been my biggest supporters from day one. Their love, prayers, and wisdom have carried me through more than they probably even realize. I seriously wouldn’t be who I am without them.
And of course, I can’t leave out my best friend Raeanne. She’s been there through thick and thin—always encouraging me, keeping it real, and reminding me who I am (especially when I forget). Her friendship has been such a gift.
