We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Charles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Creating. As long as i’m able to create I can somewhat steer my own narrative. I can create moments, I can create thoughts, memories, opportunities, relationships etc.. Having the ability to create any experience I want.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a hip hop artist & entrepreneur. What sets me apart as an artist is simply that I’ve taken my own individual walk in through life. At this point there’s nothing under the sun that we haven’t heard or seen before as far as music goes. We’ve seen and heard some of the best of the best. But what does make one stand out is how what they’re saying correlates to them as an individual. I feel like that’s something i’ve been able to do with music. Being able to take my life experiences and lessons and channel them through the music. It definitely wasn’t easy but I never quit. Anything obstacle that came my way, I found a way to overcome it. My brand is built on that. Taking Only Wins Now.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Off top we hitting up some of the best food spots in the city. Dulan’s, Bayou Grille, Harolds & Belles, Taco Mells, Woody’s etc. Definitely have to make a few trips to beach. I’d also take them on a hood tour. As far as the nightlife goes, you can never go wrong with Hollywood or Downtown LA for the turn up. There’s so much to see in LA even a whole week might not be enough to experience it all.
