We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Bezuglyy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
This is a great question to start with. Music has always been a big part of my life. I grew up in choir and always had a strong passion for singing and writing at a very young age. I began to take myself more seriously as an artist when I was 19 after my grandma passed away because she would always encourage me to sing and follow my dreams and I wanted to make her proud. I began seeking producers and one of my deer friends who is also an artist (Ian blakley) introduced me to Seattle producer Jay Battle (aka Qreepz) who made my visions come to life and made me feel more then ever that my crazy dream could be a reality. Long story short, the rest is history and we have been creating music since.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Music is a huge part of me. It’s what motivates me, it brings me the most joy and its what makes me feel like the most authentic version of myself. Music has been a really affective way for me to express myself and to speak about my feelings and emotions which has helped me understand myself better. Its almost like therapy. I hope that my music can help heal another soul who is possibly going through a similar situation or who needs an escape the way it has helped me. Music has always been an escape for me. I had to grow up very fast. I didn’t have the most Ideal childhood and always longed for a greater purpose in life. My childhood was difficult to say the least and alot of times all I had was music to make myself feel better in very tough times. I hope to share my story one day to help others not feel alone and know that no matter where you came from or how those around you treat you, absolutely anything is possible if you dream big enough and no one can take that away from you. I got to where I am today because I never gave up. This has been one of the most difficult journeys I’ve ever been on so every small accomplishment feels like a million mile leap. I really cherish all the ups and downs, they have made me stronger and who I am today. I’ve gotten to meet some of the most amazing people in my life because of music. This might sound silly but the greatest lesson I have learned is that life is hard. Nothing comes easy. If you truly want something then you have to fight for it. The harder something is, the better you will feel when you have reached your goal. I want the world to know that I have a story to tell and that you’re not alone. Even through everything I’ve been through in my life, I’m still here standing and you can too. It’s so easy to give up on yourself if you let the wait of the world get to you but I wanna see what happens when you just keep pushing and music has helped me break free.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m currently based in Seattle WA, so we would definitely have to go to the Pikes Place Market. Theres just nothing like it and theres just something so magical about it. After that I would take them to see one of the most beautiful sunsets over on Alki beach over looking the seattle sky line and walk along the boulevard. After that, I know we would be famished so I’de take them to my favorite Local bar/Pizza place called Big Marios (specifically the one in lower queen anne) to grab a pizza by the slice and a cocktail. Its the chillest spot in all of seattle. And if we really where feeling crazy, I’de take them to capital hill to finish of the night with a bang, possibly catch a show at Neumos, go bar hopping on pike. That is the Ideal Seattle hang for me and theres no place like home. To finish of the weekend we would have to go on one of our many hikes out here in the pnw, my favorite is the Big Four Ice Caves in Snohomish County. That is the Ideal Seattle hang for me and theres no place like home.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with so many amazing talented people through out my journey as an artist and I definitely wanna give a big shoutout to my producer Jay Battle. We have been creating music since the very beginning of my career and its his constant motivation and his talents as a producer that has gotten me where I am today. I also want to shout out Juliet Daniel who is a fellow Pop artists who has been such an amazing role model and friend. She has been extremely supportive and encouraging. As well as TezaTalks, another outstanding Pop Punk artist who has helped me in so many moments through out my career since the beginning as a friend and mentor. I also want to shout out my brother Alex Bezuglyy for being my day one. He has never missed a single one of my shows (even the whole in the walls) and he has believed in me every step of the way. I truly dont know where I would be with out these wonderful people and I’m so grateful to have them in my life There are so many more people I would want to include in this but this would be a novel.
