We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Borquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is the foundation of any great endeavor because, as the saying goes, without risk there’s no reward. It’s really easy to stay where you’re comfortable, where things feel familiar, and where you feel safe; but if you are someone who has a dream, and you allow fear of failure or fear of the unknown to hold you back from reaching your full potential, then you will miss out on endless moments of personal transformation. Starting a business can feel intimidating, and there will be many obstacles along the way, but if you have the courage to take the leap, I promise you, you will find fulfillment and growth along your journey.

I worked as a bedside nurse for three years, and though I’d never trade that experience, I would not be where I am today if I hadn’t taken the risk to venture out on my own, follow my vision, and start a business. My motivating factors behind risk taking are passion, purpose, and drive. All three of these elements are necessary for success in business, in relationship and in life. Taking the leap into the unknown requires a lot of focus and belief in oneself. No matter the risk you’re contemplating, if you can trust in your vision, your values, and your talents, then you can weather any storm that may arise. Success isn’t linear, and there will be many challenges to overcome, but just remember, the juice is worth the squeeze!
