We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Since this is where it all began, I find this question to be sweet. The year was 2005. It was time for our yearly spring production when I was in kindergarten at Assumption school. I was determined to play Dorothy in this year’s Wizard of Oz production. I was fortunate enough to be selected for the role out of the five girls that auditioned. The thrill I got from being on stage was unmatched bv anthing else. I was certain I wanted to pursue this. Growing up I was a very shy girl but the moment it came to being on stage the transformation was powerful. I still vividly remember watching movies or soap operas with my grandmother and immediately acting out the scene. From there on my goal was to not stop. Performing to me is everything it’s more than a hobby it’s my life it’s an adrenaline that keeps me grounded & driven. I can’t picture myself doing anything else I’m meant to be doing it I know it seems cliche but I knew it the moment I did the Wizard Of Oz.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an actor, I’ve honored my craft through dedication and perseverance. What sets me apart is my ability to bring authenticity and depth to every character I portray. I’m most proud of my versatility in tackling diverse roles and genres.

My journey hasn’t been easy, but I’ve overcome challenges by staying focused, seeking guidance from industry mentors, and embracing continuous learning. Key lessons I’ve learned include the importance of resilience, adaptability, and staying true to my artistic vision.

I want the world to know that my passion for storytelling drives me to deliver compelling performances that captivate audiences. My brand is built on authenticity, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a week-long trip, I’d take my best friend on an adventure-filled journey. We’d start with a hike at Runyon Canyon , followed by breakfast at The Americana at Brand and thrifting at Wasteland or Crossroads Trading Co. We’d explore LA’s highlights, including the Griffith Observatory, Venice Beach Boardwalk, and Getty Center. Beach days at Malibu or Newport would be balanced with foodie at Grand Central Market, food trucks, We’d cap off the trip with a farewell brunch and some last-minute shopping or exploring. Throughout, we’d soak up the city’s vibrant atmosphere, meet interesting people, and create unforgettable memories.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes I don’t think I could have done it without them shout out to my acting mentor/training family.
