Meet Michelle Mason | Partnerships Lead at LaRue

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Mason and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking is the name of the game. We can’t succeed at anything in life without failing first – so to me it’s a non negotiable. I’ve gotten really good at being uncomfortable in life and pushing the limits. Growing up in a military family I moved every two years of my life, this taught me early on to accept change and discomfort. Taking risks is the secret to unlocking your potential.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Although I’m early on in my career in the marketing world, I feel incredibly grateful for the journey along the way. I have a background in personal training which stemmed from a passion in the wellness industry. Currently, I head up partnerships and business development at LaRue, a powerhouse PR agency scaling brands in the CPG space. Each day, I have the privilege of collaborating with exceptional founders, industry leaders and partners from around the globe, all through my computer screen. I am constantly inspired by the insights I gain from each of them, whether it’s related to personal growth or professional development. I am blessed to be apart of such a dynamic and impactful movement. CPG brands are shaping the future, and as someone passionate about health and wellness, I am thrilled to be involved in an industry that is continually evolving to promote a healthier world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Socal; we would have a full day eating the best fish. I would take her to my favorite poke place of all time: Kawamata Seafood in Dana Point. We would then drive to laguna and drive the coast with the top down until we reached my favorite private beach. We would tan for the rest of the day, watch the sunset and then grab dinner at Bear Flag ✨

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Everything we do in life ultimately stems from our childhood and how we were raised. My mom and dad are my biggest inspiration. They broke generational patterns of abandonment, alcoholism, trauma, and infidelity off in their families and are going on 35 years of a healthy marriage. They are the most present and loving parents that poured into me with incredible values throughout my life. Being rooted in our faith as a family has allowed me the confidence to chase all of my dreams with purpose. I owe my current and future success to the Lord!
