We had the good fortune of connecting with Mikaela Grace Rios and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mikaela Grace, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor has been the support from the people in my life. I like to to call them my village. I don’t think I would have done half of the things I have done in my life if it weren’t for them. Having people that love you rallying behind you can make the hard stuff a little bit easier. The love and support that I receive is the biggest driving force in my life to/be better.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m an actor based in Southern California. I love the story telling that comes with acting. I’m so excited to further my career in new ways and creating my own projects. I just recently graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Los Angeles with a BFA in Acting. Finishing my college experience during a pandemic and over zoom calls was not how I wanted things to go and it was in no way easy, but it taught how to create my own opportunities. Through my journey as in an artist, I’ve learned that hard work truly pays off and keeping the faith makes things a little bit easier.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hollywood is such a unique place with so much to do, so it would definitely be challenging deciding on what places to show a friend, but I have a few favorite things to do. I would take them to my favorite coffee shop/ cafe; Solar De Cahuenga. They have the best coffee and the most delicious crepes. Next, I would take take them on a hike to the Hollywood sign. How can you visit Hollywood and not do that?! Finally, I would end their time in Hollywood getting burgers at Hollywood Burger and then walking around the Walk of Fame looking at stars.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A huge thank you to my entire family for supporting all the crazy endeavors I’ve chosen to take. A special thank you to Amanda Herrera who constantly pushes me to be a better performer and person!
