We had the good fortune of connecting with Mikey Made and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mikey, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Every aspect of what we do is commuity driven and building up the dance music community is our biggest goal.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I love wearing different hats because it gives me such a wide range of perspectives! But you know what? The thing that really makes me stand out is my dedication to spreading positivity.
As I keep growing as a DJ and Producer, I’ll always make sure to keep a balance by focusing on organizing events. It’s truly one of my biggest passions and feels like it’s part of my destiny.
Over the years, I’ve faced some tough challenges, like having to start over from scratch and dealing with a trademark lawsuit that dragged my name through the mud. But you know what kept me going? Staying positive. Without that mindset, I don’t think I could’ve overcome those specific hurdles, let alone all the other curveballs life has thrown my way.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To be honest, I love to travel and spend almost any of my free time away. But, I pretty much do the same things wherever I travel!
I start my day with a coffee, and depending on how I’m feeling, I might even stop by a local donut shop to grab my favorite breakfast snack: a warmed-up ham and cheese croissant with jalapenos!
Then, depending on where I’m at, I’ll stop by a dispensary or a coffee shop.
After that, it’s time to explore, adventure, or do both! Until it’s lunchtime and then I’m finding a good local brewery. Preferably a mom-and-pop-type place!
Afternoon naps hit the spot on some days. Otherwise, I’m on my computer or keeping myself busy one way or another until dinnertime!
After dinner, it’s time to look for a bar with some music! Then, I’m either in bed by 10 PM or 10 AM, depending on which way the night went 🙂
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
True Entertainment has been a passion project ran by my best friends and I. Without their support none of this would be possible.
