We had the good fortune of connecting with Mila Makeup and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mila, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m a dreamer, mother, and nature enthusiast from Bahia, Brazil, currently living in Manhattan Beach, California. My upbringing in Brazil instilled in me a love for community and resilience. After moving to São Paulo to earn my degree in Visagism and Hair Therapy, I relocated to the U.S. in 2013, where I built a family and established my career as a permanent makeup artist.

With over 20 years in the beauty industry and nearly 1,000 procedures completed, I specialize in techniques that enhance natural beauty. My mission is to provide personalized, sustainable beauty experiences using high-quality organic pigments. I believe that true beauty comes from within, and I strive to empower my clients by reflecting their individuality and promoting holistic practices.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My mission is to enhance each client’s natural beauty through innovative and personalized techniques that seamlessly blend art, science, and consciousness. I aim to provide a beauty experience that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable and respectful of both individuals and the planet.

I firmly believe that true beauty originates from within, and my goal is to reflect that outwardly, honoring each person’s uniqueness. By using high-quality organic pigments and adopting a holistic approach, I ensure that every client feels empowered and in harmony with their natural beauty.

Ultimately, my work is about more than just aesthetics; it’s about creating a supportive environment where individuals can celebrate their authenticity and embrace their inherent beauty.

From my mother, who taught me the importance of authenticity and self-love, to my children, who inspire me every day to pursue my passions, each family member has played a vital role in my life.

Their sacrifices and encouragement have been foundational to my success, especially as I navigated my career as a permanent makeup artist. I am grateful for their constant support, which has empowered me to chase my dreams and embrace my individuality.
