Meet Milroy Goes | Filmmaker, Film Director, Script Writer and Film Editor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Milroy Goes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Milroy, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I don’t chase success, I am grateful to God and I know the talent that I am gifted with, I am to multiply. I learn everyday, I skill up. That’s why, I believe in keeping my friends circle clean, that way it helps me connect with the right skilled-people. I stay motivated with likeminded people around me. And lastly, the secret is; I have friends who are either more successful than me or are equaling that I am, and those are the good habits.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I born and grew up in GOA, and that’s where I begin the journey in making short films, feature films, music videos. It took me 10 years to be where I am today, it was an upgrade of every 5 years, like there’s a saying “what you are today, is what you have thought 5 years ago.” Yes, that’s exactly have been my journey of learning and progressing.
I have always set a goal in life, and kept achieving it, and after achieving one, I had confidence to think of much higher goal. My ultimate goal was Hollywood, and yes, in 2018 it was accomplished.
It’s never easy, nor difficult, it’s how you see it. It’s all about preparing subconscious mind to believe in it. And most importantly to have right people in the friends circle.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow! I just told my best friend few days ago to visit me here, I would love to take them to Santa Monica. And considering a week long trip then yes, the famous “Duke’s Malibu” for a perfect hang out.
I believe the most amazing places to check out is Hollywood Bowl, Malibu Beach, Santa Monica and Korea Town.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I believe in keeping the good friends circle and I can never forget the people that have instrumental in progressing my career, either by investing in my film projects or by doing the best they are at. Specially, I am thankful to my younger brother Rohan Goes who is also a producer, and have been constantly a great support. Thanks to my executive producers Ashley Avelino Moraes, Ravindra Nath, Monika Todorova Ganeva, specially with my movie “Welcome Millions” the great journey from Prime Video to Cpics.tv
