We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Page and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Morgan, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am originally from New Jersey and was raised by the most amazing parents who are so full of love. They have been happily married for almost 50 years and have been my role models. I am forever grateful for them. They have taught me about hard work, following through, being a good person, being compassionate, and never giving up no matter what. During my youth, I played Basketball year-round as well as other sports to keep in shape for the winter season. Playing sports is what has instilled discipline, commitment, endurance, and competition within the self. Then I moved to NY when I was 19 to pursue the arts. Besides my amazing parents and basketball, I feel like NY helped raise me as well. It taught me a lot about hustling and the continuation of training in craft. To keep going and growing within yourself is so important. It also taught me to have faith. My spirituality is so important in my life now. As an artist we need to believe in something bigger than ourselves if we want to give to the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a NY-trained actor with a lot of theater under my belt and some film/television projects. I also write poetry which I compose into songs with my acoustic. I started an independent production company to create my own projects of strong stories that matter to me and can possibly shine a light on them in whichever way I can. Recently our team completed a documentary about the high ratio mortality rate of women in labor in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. We are also working on two narrative features. Ultimately, my vision is to license my music on whatever projects I may be working on. My music is also being licensed through the company Heavy Hitters as well. My journey has been anything but easy 🙂 The industry is oversaturated and you have to find where you can create your own content. My vision is to make a difference in some way so this is the route that I have chosen to take. It definitely does not mean it has been easy though. In fact, it is more challenging being that I am an “unknown” as they say in Hollywood, therefore, the road is a little curvier. The lessons I have learned are that I am definitely ambitious and my skin has definitely grown thicker. I am grateful for it all as I have created some great songs from all of these challenges. I am a true artist at my core and have an innate NEED to create so however that may be, I follow my own compass.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my bestie was visiting we would most likely start with a morning hike at Runyon or the wisdom tree hike which I love how we can put a prayer in the box up there. Then hit the beach in Santa Monica to feel the Cali sun and beautiful beachy breeze. Then, shower up and get ready for the night out with a good heel of course:) Maybe start with a cocktail on the rooftop at either The Dream Hotel in Hollywood or Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills so she can see the view of the whole city. Then, dinner at The Nice Guy and end the night at Delilah’s both in West Hollywood. Both have live music, good looking people, and the food es muy delicioso:)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents are #1 to me!!! They share that slot indeed:) My teachers from NY- Terry Knickerbocker from William Esper Conservatory and Bill Hopkins from Stella Adler have really instilled my wonderful training.
Filmmaker Gianni Monteleone who is now also my big brother and believes in me to the fullest
Musician/Producer Adonis Tsilimparis who is my soul brother for life. Without him, I wouldn’t have the amazing songs we’ve recorded. He’s a huge talent!
